After Sutter gets dumped by his beautiful girlfriend Cassidy, he spends most of his nights drinking, until he ends up in a strangers backyard. As it turns out, the stranger is quite familiar to Sutter. The unknown owner of the the backyard is his socially awkward classmate, Aimee. She has never spoken to Sutter and he has never payed any attention to her as well. They never thought that their paths would cross.
But now things are looking promising for Sutter as he starts planning revenge on Cassidy and tries to change Aimee at the same time. He’s helping her come out of her shell and in the process falls head over heels in love with her. While Sutter is drunk once again, he also promises Aimee that he’ll take her to prom.
At first, Sutter is convinced that he is the one helping Aimee, but after a while he starts to notice, how Aimee is truly the one changing him. She wants Sutter to take risks and step out of his comfort zone by making commitments and stop drinking. On top of all that, she persuades him to move to St. Louis with her.
Sutter isn’t too happy about the idea of moving, so he decides that Aimee is better off without him and starts keeping his distance, so she could find someone more suitable for her. Also he tricks her into moving to St.Louis without him, hoping that she’ll break up with him over email.
Alone Sutter slips back into his old lifestyle, which includes lots of drinking and partying. Although he got what he wanted by sending Aimee off to St.Louis by herself, he is upset and decides to give up on love and swears to never fall in love again.
I really liked the book in general. It was fast-paced and fun to read. Although I would have liked the ending to be a bit more specific.

The Spectacular Now
by: Tim Tharp
pages 1-62 .
I chose this book ,because I had heard about the movie but never gotten the change to see it.I was talking with my friend about some movies and I said that I really want to see The spectacular now and she said that she just ended reading the book.Same time I was looking for a book to read at english class ,so I asked if I could borrow it and here I am writing my blog about first 62 pages.
Sutter Keely is the life of every party and a high school senior, who has absolutely no plans regarding the future. He prefferes to live his life in the now. Even though everyone around him is either moving on or trying to grow up, Sutter isn’t intimidated or attempting to follow their actions. He finds it wise to do the exact opposite. That decision often leads him into some kind of trouble, like accidentally lighting an expensive suit on fire or ending up drunk in a stranger’s backyard. Sutter is a bit of an alcoholic as well, which may also lead to unexpected events like that. His mother and step–father are very concerned about his future and are close to sending him to boarding school, but so far Sutter has talked his way out of any situation. He works at a local men’s clothing store and is close with his manager, who often gives him life advice.
I like this book because of it’s little unexpected plot–twists and unusual characters.
So far I haven’t found anything negative about the book.
